Impact Story: oceanographer Sylvia Earle

National Geographic Explorer in Residence, oceanographer, Sylvia Earle led a team of women aquanauts in the first nationally sponsored scientists-in-the-sea program, Tektite.
The team conducted research in an undersea laboratory off the Lameshur Bay, St. John, Virgin Islands for two weeks.
